MEETING: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ANNUAL SPRING BUSINESS
MEETING
AGENDA:
PLEASE NOTE: THE SPRING MEETING IS WHERE THE CLASSES FOR THE EDHA CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND UP ARE SET. THE DIRECTORS WILL MEET PRIOR TO THIS MEETING AND PRESENT A "DIRECTOR'S SLATE" WHICH IS JUST ONE PROPOSAL FOR CLASSES. THAT PROPOSAL IS PRESENTED TO THE ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP AT THE SPRING MEETING. THE FLOOR IS OPEN TO ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS THAT MAY COME FORWARD, TYPICALLY THERE ARE FOUR - FIVE OTHER PROPOSALS SUBMITTED. THE MEMBERS VOTE ON THE CLASS LISTS, IT IS NARROWED DOWN TO THE TOP TWO OR THREE AND VOTED ON ONCE AGAIN. THE TOP VOTED LIST IS THE CLASSES THAT ARE RUN AT THE ROUND UP. DISCUSSIONS TAKS PLACE ON THE ORDER THE CLASSES WILL BE HELD AND THE DIRECTORS THEN WEIGH THE "ECONOMICS" OF WHEN THE CLASSES ARE HELD IN ORDER TO EVEN OUT THE WEEKEND FOR BOTH SPECTATORS AND PULLERS. About Us: The Eastern Draft Horse Association is the largest horse pulling organization in the country, boasting over 1,100 members from all over the United States and Canada . We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of New England horse pulling. All the officers and directors put in many hours of work , all on a volunteer basis. The Eastern Draft Horse Association holds its annual pull at the end of the season in October. The "Round-up" is regarded as the largest and most prestigious pull in the country with three days of horse pulling excitement, an auction, and other interesting features. The objectives of the Eastern Draft Horse Association are:

Membership: We welcome anyone who is interested in the Eastern Draft Horse Association, its objectives, is willing to uphold its policies, subscribe to its bylaws, to become a member. Members will receive a subscription to our newsletter, the "DOUBLETREE", which lists the monthly pull schedules. Members also have voting privileges at our bi-annual meetings .
