Robert Lee "Bobby" Steele, 67, of Mercer County, died Monday, Oct 15, 2007 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov 14, 1939 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Roy and Dora Gritton Steele and was the husband of Mary Frances Phillips Steele.

He was a farmer, a horseman and a member of the Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one sister, Mary Ann Royalty of Versailles; several nieces and nephews and his pet, Lucky.

Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Oct 19 at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Elwood Norton officiating. Burial is to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Fund or the St Jude Children's Hospital.
